Playa de Aro

Playa de Aro is located in the heart of the Costa Brava. Originally a small fishing village on the road from Palamós to Sant Feliu de Guíxols, it is located on a large 2 km beach. Now a popular beach resort, Playa de Aro has an array of hidden coves, spectacular views and crystal clear water making it the perfect destination to relax and unwind any time of the year.

Platja de Aro is also known as a shopping destination with high street stores as well as small boutiques, all of which are walking distance from the hotel.

There is a weekly local market held on Friday mornings from 9 to 13hrs where you will be able to mingle with the locals and find everything from souvenirs to handbags. The town has recently been granted the official "Family Tourism Destination Award" (Destino de Turismo Familiar) by the Catalan regional government and is only one of 17 cities to be thus authorised. This award guarantees that the city is family friendly with public playgrounds and family activities available to visitors spending their holidays in Playa de Aro.

Playa de Aro offers a wide range of accommodation options, the Hotel Costa Brava founded in 1929 being one of the most unique hotels in the region.
